Ποιος είναι εκείνος ο μυστηριώδης λόγος που ωθεί συχνά τον εν λόγω σταθμό να μη χρησιμοποιεί την επίσημη (και αναγνωρισμένη από την ΕΕ) ονομασία της χώρας αυτής και να την αποκαλεί ή να την παρουσιάζει ως δήθεν « Μακεδονία», παρότι κορυφαίοι πρώην ευρωβουλευτές (π.χ. Νικήτας Κακλαμάνης, Σταύρος Ξαρχάκος, Γιώργος Καρατζαφέρης κ.ά.) έχουν κατ'; επανάληψη επισημάνει με δημόσιες παρεμβάσεις τους ότι ο τηλεοπτικός αυτός σταθμός με μεγάλη συχνότητα κάνει το συγκεκριμένο αυτό λάθος και υιοθετεί την ορολογία των εθνικιστών των Σκοπίων;

Hello to everybody,
I'm living in Greece in Thessaloniki the ancient capital of Makedonia. I didn't know many details on this issue but after I heard Mr Bush and Mrs Rice telling that Macedonia (and not at least Fyrom -Former of Republic of Macedonia) must enter Nato I was start wondering about many things.
I live in Thessaloniki the last 20 years.
I studied as a Chemical Enginner to the biggest University in the whole Balkans the Aristotle University (by the way Aristotle was the teacher of Alexander). Next to the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki (Alexander's sistem Name) is the University of Makedonia which is also in Greece. I stay in a street which is near a streat called Makedonia Street, sometimes I buy the newspaper called makedonia which was first published I think about 1913.
I curently work as a programmer in three textile companies companies which have factories in Boulgaria, Romania and Fyrom.
One of the names of a company I work to is called Cottonfields Makedonia SA which is also in Greece. Many times when I want to go to Romania I use the second largest Airport in Greece the Makedonia airport. Apart from this there is the Megas Alexander airport in Kavala. One of the teams in Thessaloniki is called Makedonikos and by the way yesterday an accident happened to a famous greek singer called Kostas Makedonas. Another curious think that happened is that Cottonfields Makedonia SA has a textile factory in Romania in a city called Alexandria. After I visited this city many times I was really surprised by the fact that many people there called Alexander ans some of them had their last name of Alexandrou. As far for the name Makedonia I remember it from the elementary school.
I've read the last months thousands of posts and since I didn't remember the history which were thought in high school I tried to gother the arguments from both sides and establish a conclusion.
First of all I don't think that Greece has hysteria about this issue. In fact I'm really dissapointed by the Greek channels that don't show nearly anything about Greek history of Makedonia and not for becoming proud about our past, but for informing us about some scientifical facts about this issue. It's really disspointing that I have to watch some many BBC videos and the Greek channels don't display anything about this. They all have reports and discussion from people they live in Fyrom and what they believe. I think it is actually forbidden because they think this way they will help the LAOS political party of Greece and Mr Karatzaferis who many of them don't like.
However since I consider myself a scientist I must see the really arguments about this.
After reading so many posts I see from the point of Greece the following:
The majority of Greek people think that Makedonia is greek name connected with Greek ancient history and that shouldn't be used by people that don't feel and speak like Greeks. However with the moderate position of the Greek Goverment people the last years Greeks are going to compromise with a name like New or North Makedonia. People of Greece don't want anything from the territory of Fyrom. In fact many Greek companies have invested in Fyrom. The third company I work for has a factory in Fyrom with more than 300 employees.
What do I see from the other side?
First I found out that I am from Sahara. There are hunderd of posts that claim this.
Second that Greece has to recognise a Makedonia minority in west and central Makedonia. Ok, by claiming this which of course looks as a joke, but also means that people in Fyrom think that these are the Makedonians and that Greece occupies a territory that belongs to them. What a friendly position!!!
Do you know how many times I heard in Greek channels about the political party of Fyrom 'Rainbow'. Then I searched to see how many votes took in Greek elections, less than 5000. What a great minority!!! If this is a minority, then Efi Sari which is a ridicilous Greek singer or Levendis an unvbelievable guy who got more votes than them should also establish a minority.
I also heard that 2 of of their most significant national heros called Goce Delcev and Sandaskis. Another curious think since the second company I work for has 3 factories in Bulgaria. The first of them is located in a city called Sandaski. The third and larger one is located in a village called Ablanitsa which is next to a small city called Goce Delcev. There are actually 2 statues of Goce Delcev in this area and located in Bulgaria. By they way these are 2 of the most significant Bulgarian heroes.
I heard many times about Makedonian language. A friend of mine in Greece in being married to a girl from Bulgaria. Her mother is a proffesional translator and she (my friend's wife) speaks 5 languages. She claims that the so called "Makedonian" language is very similar to the Bulgarian and she can understad nearly anything they say. She has also described a visit of a FYROMian official to Bulgaria who used a translator in order to translate in Bulgarian and it was so funny since they all understood the Fyromian official when he used his native language.
Then I heard that the ancient Makedonians were not Greek. This position is taugth to their schools, they believe that there is a great Global conspirancy created from Greeks on this.
I thought in order to believe this there must be some strong arguments. Then I start to read the Makedonia Kings names which were all of them in Greek.
I already knew that Filippos is a a Greek name (friend of the horse), Alexander's mother Olumpia is obvious a Greek name, Boukefalas (Alexander's horse) is a Greek name
but also Alexander or correctly Alexandros means protector of men, and of couse many others like Amyntas means defensive in Greek.
Also Makedonia comes from Makednos which means high land. I see that all the ancient Makedonians cities had Greek names. Even Fyrom's capital Skopje (skopia) is obvious Greek meaning guard.
Thessaloniki which is the city I live in is obvious greek meaning victory over the people for Thessally and also the name of the Alexander's sister.
Then I see ancient inscriptions and coins. All of them in Greek. The funny thing is that there are many videos that people from Fyrom display these and they are very proud of them but many of them they don't know that these are in Greek.
I'm also sure that the majority people in Fyrom don't know the meanings of the Ancient Makedonian Kings names.
I also found out that the currency of the Ancient Makedonians uded called drachm which is actually the same name of the currency we used before EURO.
Every month I pay my rent to my house owners that line near Makedonia Pallas the most famous hotel in Thessaloniki.
In 2 days I'm going to visit my parents in Athens. In the way to Athens I will pass Pieria and the village Dion an important sanctuary dedicated to Zeus (Greek "Dias"), leader of the Twelve Gods who dwelt on Mount Olympus.
Dion is full of ancient Makedonian findings...
I forgot to mention that when I return from Bulagria and the villge Goce Delcev (Fyromians national hero!!!) I pass through Amfipolis (obvious a greek name located in Greece) another city with Makedonian findings one of them is the tetra-drachm the Coin with the same name I used beffore Euro.
Apart from these many ancient Makedoinans took part in Olympic games with many winners. Olympic Games took part in Olympia connected with the mountain Olympos
where Dion exists an ancient Makedonian village...
Can everybody see how things are connected in our everyday leaving here in Greece. We see use and live with these names every day.
I'm not a historian I'm a scientist...
After all these try to hear Bush telling you that 'Macedonia must enter Nato'.
Or listen to Fyrom's arguments that we come from Sahara, our language (dimotiki) has nothing to do with the Ancient Makedonian language (but we understand the inscriptions and coins),
and that the official Makedonian language is theirs (Bulgarian dialect) , that we must recognise a makedonian minority (5000 votes) in Makedonia,
that Solun (Thessaloniki) is theirs.
Try to undestand that thousands of students there believe and taught that they are true makedonians and Greece occupies their territory.
See that this propaganda is financed by some guys in USA whis is(???) today's superpower, and with no respect to Greeks ,their president (what a Guy) Bush
calls them Macedonians. A coutry with more than 30% Albanians with their capital (Skopje) ,name(Makedonia), Sign (the sign of Greek Vergina), Airport (Great Alexander), Skopje main square renamed to Pella(Makedonian village in Greece) all referring to Greece, people with Slavic Names, Bulgarian dialect and Bulgarian National Heroes.
Some of you in England may think this is funny, since you are USA best friends and your interests are to create small and powerless countries.
However I don't believe so. I've never seen so many lies spread so many ridicilous arguments used and financed!!!! by so many people with power.
Even a simple minded can clearly undestand what is happening here and that is not a simple name issue.
Letting them using the name Macedonia exclusively and that the only Makedonians means that nearly 25% of Greece belongs to them,
or more correctly that we are elephants (from Sahara of course). Since I don't consider myself an African elephant, I don't also conider this a ridiculous issue.
